The Walking Dead Season 2 - Episode 1 Review (Strategy Informer)

Added: 06.01.2014 9:16 | 2 views | 0 comments

From Strategyinformer.com: "Here we go again on the emotional rollercoaster. Keep your limbs inside the car at all times and dont forget the tissues. Yes, Telltales The Walking Dead is back, and if you played 400 Days or even The Wolf Among Us youll know they havent lost their ability to shock and depress. I seriously considered not volunteering to review Season 2 as I wasnt sure I could take it after the cataclysmic events of No Time Left, but I just had to find out what happened next. If Telltale are going to suck the life out of and then murder a young girl I want to know about it firsthand. ".

"First things first: if you loved the first season of The Walking Dead as much as everyone else did you may as well not even read this review. The Walking Dead Season 2 features the same style of gameplay and story as seen in the first season, and its probably even better than it was before. If youre already a fan, then you should just go and play it right now. If you want to keep reading anyway, let me explain what I mean and Ill try be as spoiler free as possible."

Damn good storytelling can indeed carry non-traditional gameplay

The Walking Dead was widely considered one of the best games of 2012. The only problem with this is that it wasnt a game in the sense that many are used to. We werent exactly playing The Walking Dead, but rather exploring our surroundings, taking part of conversations, and following a story. At its heart, it was a cinematic experience, at times hampered with weird aiming (on Xbox 360) and occasional bugs. That didnt stop it from winning Game of the Year awards.
